Best Foot Forward
I just started reading the Best Food Forward by Joan Bauer. The cover was admirable, and the plot was interesting. This story is about a girl named Jenna who turned her father in for being an alcoholic. Feeling guilty about it, she attends a sessions to help get over her guilt. At the same time, she is working at a shoe store. One day, a group of siblings come in, and end up stealing shoes. The main person that committed the crime has a history of stealing. She and her boss still decide give him a second chance, and let him come in and work at the store. Then, they find out that the shoe company might come to an end because of the dilemma someone has brought up. I won't tell you who! This is all I have read, but it is extremely entertaining, and a lovely story. If you love realistic-fiction, descriptive novels, and reality on every page, you should read this book! The author, Joan Bauer has written many other books as well, including Close to Famous, Peeled, and Stand Tall. I have actually read Close to Famous. Just like the Best Foot Forward, it is a very moving novel, but more of a morel story. I hope add this book to your reading list!

Yasmine,
ReplyDeleteThis book has a really grasping title and it seems really fun. If I saw that book I would defiantly start to read it! I love it how you said it was moving, it is like you were sharing and showing all your emotions. job. You explained it really clearly and i will definatly have to read it! I don't think the book is that fun, I think it is a bit on the sadder side.
