The Son of Neptune

I am reading a novel by the name of The Son of Neptune, which is the second book in The Heroes of Olympus Series. When I came across this book, I realized it was by the same author of The Percy Jackson Series (one of my favorites), so I decided to give it a try. I usually choose books by their genre, and author. I love fantasy and action, and this book is 100% that. It is about a boy named Percy Jackson, who is a half blood (which is a child who has one immortal parent, and one mortal parent), and can not remember anything from his past except the name Annabeth. One day, he is being chased by gorgons, when he comes across a Roman camp for half bloods, and everything changes. My favorite character is Percy Jackson because he is a very curious, daring, and adventurous person. Some of his remarks can also be funny. Another one of my favorite characters is Reyna. Although she is very stern, and strict, I predict she will be a favored person in the end. Every chapter in this is book is extremely exciting, and breathtaking. There are no boring bits in this novel (so far). The author of this novel is Rick Riordan. He has written many books including The Kane Chronicles, and The Percy Jackson Series. Only first book in the Percy Jackson Series has been made into a movie. I am eager to see if more movies are created for the rest of the series. The next book he writes, I will be the first one to buy, because his books are so amazing. Hopefully, after you read this book, you will think so too.

  5. Yasmine,

You are so good at describing books, and this one that you are writing about sounds like a great book. I also saw the movie of the first book and it was really good. I bet Son of Neptune is also great. I hope they turn it into a movie.

  6. I did my Book Review on the Percy Jackson Series's first book, Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. I absolutely loved that book and am reading it again. This book sounds great too and I am interested to find out why Percy Jackson can't remember his past. This sounds great and you described it really well.
    Sincerely,
    Rachel

  7. I'm really curious about The Heroes of Olympus books and I am wondering how Riordan will make them different than the Percy Jackson books. I am sure that he will; I just would love to know how he will make it work.

I was a total Greek mythology dork in the 6th grade - that's when we learned about Greek/Roman & Norse gods. I was a veritable encyclopedia of gods and demigods. Mrs. Wasson was our English teacher, and she could not have had a more enthusiastic student. Now I am trying to learn something more about the Hindu pantheon as my yoga teacher is always telling us stories about Shiva, Krishna, and Laskshmi. I am still an avid student.
