So many books, so little time.
I am currently reading two books, one of which is called Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment. I have already read this book before, but it is always good to reread a book to see if you have missed any points. I found this book on the 7th and 8th grade reading list this summer. It is about a group of kids that have wings, and a bunch of scientists are trying to find them. The scientists end up taking the youngest girl, Angel, and the rest of the kids has to rescue her. My favorite character has to be Max, the oldest because she is very daring, and brave. I also like Angel, the youngest because she is cute, and adorable. This book keeps me interested because on every page, there is always a rush of constant excitement. I could read this book over, and over again, and not get bored. There are usually no boring bits. I think that any lover of action, and fiction would fall in love with this novel. This is the first book I have read by the author, James Patterson. He wrote many other books as well, such as Middle School, the Worst Years of my life, Kill Me if you can, and The Daniel X series. Maximum Ride is actually a series too. There is also a movie coming out in 2013 about it. I am excited to compare the movie with the novel when it comes out. I hope to read all of the books in the Maximum Ride series. Hopefully, you will too.

ReplyDeleteMaximum Ride sounds like a very interesting and exciting book! I have never read this book or any book by James Patterson before. When I finish my book I will read this book. Since there were almost no boring parts I am very excited to start reading it!

ReplyDeleteYou chose a really good book. I got really into reading your blog. Knowing you, you stop reading the book. I like how you explained the characters you like. When I am stuck with picking a book to read i will ask to borrow the book from you. Great book suggestion.

ReplyDeleteMaximum Ride sounds like a great book. I love reading books that you can read over and over again and never get bored with them. This book also because all of the kids have wings and it would be so cool to have wings. I have never read a book by James Patterson, but I think he sounds like a great author.

I like the Maximum Ride books, but I have to admit I found the level of violence in them a bit off-putting. I found that to be true with The Hunger Games as well. I am, however, not a huge fan of Patterson's other work. It really is formula driven and I know that he hires a bunch of other writers to write for him. He is a factory!!
ReplyDeleteBut I do like the level of fantasy and adventure in these books. I love fantasy books, and although this is also realistic, kids with wings are definitely fantastic!
